Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of www.data-inc.co.za and the services offered through it, operated by Data Inc (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using the site or creating an account, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. The service
The platform lets you configure IT service bundles and receive indicative quotations. Quotations generated on the platform are estimates based on the information you provide. They are not binding offers. A binding agreement only comes into existence once we confirm your order in writing and both parties sign a service agreement.
2. Your account
- You must provide accurate, current information when registering.
- You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity on your account.
- Notify us immediately at connectme@data-inc.co.za if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.
- We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms or are used unlawfully.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the site for any unlawful purpose or in breach of any applicable law;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the platform, other users’ data, or our systems;
- interfere with or disrupt the operation of the site;
- submit false or misleading information when requesting quotes.
4. Pricing and quotations
Prices shown on the platform are indicative, exclude VAT unless stated otherwise, and may change without notice. Final pricing is confirmed in the formal service agreement. Obvious errors in pricing do not bind us.
5. Intellectual property
All content on the site — including text, design, logos, and software — belongs to Data Inc or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute it without our written permission, except as needed for your own normal use of the platform.
6. Privacy
We process your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).
7. Availability and liability
We aim to keep the platform available and secure, but it is provided “as is” and we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Data Inc is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the platform. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2008, where it applies.
8. Termination
You may close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property and liability) will survive.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
